This exhaust nut is the reproduction replacement for all Twins and Single cylider models 1948-1969, except R68, R69 & R69S. When removing original exhaust nuts, it is not uncommon that the threads or the fins (or both) become damaged. Particularly in the case of thread damage, never re-install! We strongly recommend using a new part to replace a damaged one. And ALWAYS apply anti-seize lubricant on the threads when installing! See recommended products for wrench, gasket and anti-seize.
